A Landmark Moment for Supercross
WSX CEO Tom Burwell called the move a milestone for the sport.
“Taking our championship to Africa is a huge achievement and a reflection of our commitment to bringing supercross to fans everywhere,” he said. “South Africa has a strong sports culture, and we’re excited to deliver an electrifying experience with top riders in an incredible venue like DHL Stadium.”
A Perfect Match for South African Fans
Showtime Management, a well-known South African promoter, is organizing the event in partnership with WSX. They have brought major international events like Monster Jam and Disney on Ice to the country. Supercross Cape Town 2025.

Cape Town joins London, UK, and Buenos Aires, Argentina, as one of the first confirmed locations for the 2025 WSX season. Fans can look forward to seeing the world’s best riders battle for the 450cc and 250cc championship titles.
