The event takes place at the Zelta Zirgs Motocenter in Kegums, a picturesque location just an hour from Latvia’s capital, Riga. This iconic track is known for its challenging sandy terrain and has hosted 19 MXGP events.

The MXGP of Latvia 2024 will be broadcast live on www.mxgp-tv.com. You can catch all the action, including Saturday’s qualifying rounds and Sunday’s thrilling motos. For those in the United States, CBS Sports will air the second motos live starting at 9 a.m. Eastern/6 a.m. Pacific.

Exciting Competition

The 2024 season has been an intense battle, especially at the top. Just two points separate reigning World Champion Jorge Prado and five-time title winner Tim Gajser. Jeffrey Herlings, who holds the record for the most GP wins at this track, is currently third in the standings. Herlings aims to repeat his victory from last year, making this round even more exciting.

In the MX2 World Championship, teammates Lucas Coenen and Kay de Wolf are locked in a fierce battle. Coenen is riding high on a three-GP winning streak, trailing closely behind de Wolf. Their rivalry on the sandy tracks promises an exciting showdown.
