Frank Kelleher, the Speedway’s President, can’t hide his enthusiasm. “Ricky’s ingenuity is always a spectacle, and this year’s design is no exception,” he says. “Riders and fans alike are in for a real treat with high-energy racing that’s sure to electrify the atmosphere at DAYTONA Supercross.”
Carmichael himself is excited about the changes. “This track has some really fun elements,” he notes. “Apart from the signature tunnel jump, we’re keeping the natural grass where possible, allowing it to evolve throughout the event. And don’t miss the beach sand section – it’s always full of drama!”
Last time around, Eli Tomac, now known as “The King” of DAYTONA Supercross, made history with his seventh win, tying NASCAR legend Richard Petty’s record at the Speedway. Tomac aims to outdo himself with an eighth victory in 2024.
Tomac shares his passion for the track. “Daytona is unique; the track changes throughout the day,” he says. “Winning here seven times, feeling the fans’ energy at the finish line – there’s nothing quite like it.”
